Outstanding Student Awards

Jennifer FagreJennifer Fagre of Cloquet, Minnesota, a National Honor Society scholar, has been chosen as the Linda Christas Student of the Year.

Jennifer is an accomplished classical musician and composer, as well as an outstanding tennis player, gymnast, and softball player, having frequently contributed to the winning ways of one of the Duluth area's best teams. In addition, she has served as captain of her high school's majorette squad.

As busy as her schedule was, Jennifer still found time, not only to serve as a senior class officer, but also to excel in Calculus and Physics, maintaining a 4.086 Grade Point Average overall, and graduating as Salutatorian of her class.

Jennifer served as concertmaster with the Duluth Youth Symphony, and has performed with the University of Wisconsin Superior Orchestra.

Jennifer is looking forward to performing with the St. Olaf College Department of Music.

Jennifer has been accepted and will attend St. Olaf College this Fall. St. Olaf awarded Jennifer a substantial merit scholarship as an incentive for her to join their student body.

Linda Christas teachers, advisors and coaches are eagerly awaiting Jennifer's first full symphonic composition.

Jennifer's hard work, coachability, along with her great heart and mind have been appropriately rewarded by her college of choice.

Linda Christas believes that Jennifer truly represents the very best that is America.
