Fisher-Wallace Device Promising for Students

by Denise Fountainbleau, Class of 2012

Our Dean Emeritus, Dr. Ron Bernard (68), never tires of trying to assist Linda Christas Academy students to get ahead.

The Fisher-Wallace transcranial electrostimulator has been reported by Harvard University to be a wonder with regard to all sorts of student benefits.

In tracking the Dean during his first week using the device, he reports a much clearer mind (He was pretty good before.).

He told me that his reading speed has increased substantially. (He was faster than I am before, and I am at the top of my class in that category.)

Dr. Bernard is conducting this experiment in consultation with a medical doctor trained in the use of the Fisher-Wallace device. All Linda Christas students worldwide will have the same benefit of medical backup just in case it is needed, although the device is very safe.

It passes a low level current through the brain which serves, according to Harvard, to strengthen the neurons of the brain so that they can perform a lot better.

For example, the Dean's production of brain hormones that fight anxiety seems way up.

In addition, it seems that his production of cortisol, the brain's anxiety/worry/depression producer, is way down, since the Dean reports a much more positive outlook regarding literally everything. He says that things he viewed as problems before, he now tends to look at as opportunities. (I'm going to have to get one of these.)

The Fisher-Wallace device is FDA approved, and, in the U.S., one needs a health professional with an appropriate license to obtain one. In other countries, such as France, one can purchase the device without such health professional involvement.

I for one am happy that any Linda Christas student anywhere in the world will have medical professional support. Linda Christas Academy has arranged for such backup not only because it makes sense, but also as a responsible acknowledgement of U.S. Federal authority.

We will check back with the Dean periodically to determine if these reported benefits continue. You, our reading audience, will be the first to know about any significant new developments.

In the meantime, anyone interested in reading the Harvard University study can write to me here at the Academy, and I will be sure to get the information to you. -- Editor 2012 Academy Web Site, Denise Fountainbleau, Class of 2012

This is terrific. I am going to get one of these devices. With so much in my life that produces stress, to be able to look at events as opportunities, as blessings instead of pains in the neck would be wonderful.

I know Dr. Bernard. He's a great guy. If he says this thing works for him, I believe it. If the thing allows the nerves of the brain to be healthy and do their job, especially producing healthy quantities of serotonin and dopamine, it will mean that one does not have to use outside drugs to accomplish a little relief from the silly world we've made up.

Holy Cow, this thing could be my answer to getting into Harvard. Now all I have to do is get better than C's in calculus. Well, maybe I'll have to settle for community college first. With this device, sounds like I might be able to pull A's.
We'll see. Can't hurt.
