Dr. Jay Bhatt

Dr. Jay Bhatt, Director, India

Dr. Jay Bhatt has been appointed Linda Christas' Educational Program Director for the Republic of India.

Dr. Bhatt plans to be innovative in introducing Linda Christas to the Indian educational marketplace.

Dr. Bhatt currently serves as President of Summit REFS, Inc.

He has more than 25 years of combined experience in research, engineering, product development, and management consulting. Dr. Bhatt enjoys a well deserved reputation for being a dynamic instructor, both at the secondary and college levels.

Indian Education Environment

Dr. Bhatt is an internationally respected researcher in the areas of aerospace engineering, and nanotechnology. He has published over thirty authoritative papers in the areas of material science, manufacturing technology, and strategy formulation.

Dr. Bhatt received his Ph.D. and MS degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He also holds an MBA from UCLA, and a bachelors degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.

Dr. Bhatt has been living in the US since 1975 and currently resides in Southern California.

Grant to Utah to Help Create More Charter Schools

ED's Assistant Deputy Secretary for Innovation and Improvement Doug Mesecar visited Guadalupe Schools in Salt Lake City today to present an $8,533,334 Charter Schools Program grant to the Utah State Department of Education. Utah's Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert and Vice Chairman of the Utah State Board of Education Mark Cluff joined Mesecar for the announcement.
